Tier-I: Computer-Based Examination (CBE)

Note: The Tier-I exam is conducted online, and the questions are set in both English and Hindi, except for the English Language section.

Tier-II: Descriptive Paper

  • Mode: Offline (Pen and Paper)

  • Duration: 60 minutes

  • Total Marks: 100

  • Format:

    • Essay Writing (200-250 words)

    • Letter/Application Writing (150-200 words)

  • Language: English or Hindi

Note: This paper is mandatory and assesses written communication skills.

Tier-III: Skill Test/Typing Test

  • For Data Entry Operator (DEO):

    • Skill Test: 8,000 key depressions per hour (15 minutes)

    • For DEO in C&AG: 15,000 key depressions per hour (15 minutes)

  • For LDC/JSA, PA/SA:

    • Typing Test:

      • English: 35 words per minute (w.p.m.)

      • Hindi: 30 w.p.m.

    • Duration: 10 minutes (15 minutes for PwD candidates)

  • Note: The Skill Test/Typing Test is qualifying in nature.

📚 Preparation Tips

  • Tier-I: Focus on practicing multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in all four subjects. Utilize online mock tests and previous year papers to enhance speed and accuracy.

  • Tier-II: Practice writing essays and letters in both English and Hindi. Focus on clarity, coherence, and grammatical accuracy.

  • Tier-III: For Typing Test, practice typing speed and accuracy. For DEO Skill Test, practice data entry tasks to meet the required key depressions per hour
